A word for introducing ideas, not people

Introducir

"Quiero introducir un nuevo tema en la conversación."
I want to bring up a new topic in the conversation.

To introduce a person to someone, use "presentar" (te presento a mi hermana). "Introducir" is for inserting objects or ideas, not people.
