The Spanish word for "come on" — and "okay"
¡Venga!
BEN-gah — Come on! / Okay, let's do it
"¡Venga, que llegamos tarde!"
Come on, we're going to be late!
Literally "come" (from venir), but in Spain it does double duty: hurrying someone along, or agreeing to a plan. "¡Venga, vale!" is about as Spanish as a sentence gets.
"I say it so often that most students start saying it back to me within a couple of lessons."— Graciela
